Job Summary:

The Equipment Technician will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure optimal operation. Strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required. The Equipment Technician will also be responsible for ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives in the production process.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in a related field or technical certification preferred.
  • Experience as an equipment technician or in a similar role within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment.
  • Equipment and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
  • Good understanding of safety regulations and practices in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying physical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues and perform repairs as needed.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and operating within specifications.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the established schedule.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to implement process improvements and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and time spent.
  • Ensure that safety protocols are followed during maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to address equipment failures and ensure smooth operations.
  • Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns promptly and work effectively to resolve issues.
  • Participate in equipment performance reviews and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Assist in training new technicians and team members on equipment operations and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards, including safety and quality procedures.

· PM- preventative maintenance

· Hydraulic

· Pneumatic

· Diagnose, Repair and or replace

· Maintenance or preventative maintenance

· Schematics and Blueprints

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a manufacturing facility with varying temperatures and noise levels.
  • Required to stand for extended periods and may need to lift heavy objects.
  • Must be available to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as required by production needs.
