Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Execution of the planned and preventative maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for troubleshooting by applying critical thinking skills to identify, diagnose, and repair equipment problems.
- Must be able to analyze and understand blueprints, schematics, layout plans, and other materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in hydraulics, lubrication, and mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
- Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain all equipment, tools, and workstations.
- Ability to utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability.
- Maintain logs, and recorded labor, materials, and equipment used.
- Effectively communicate to all team members and management any equipment deficiencies.
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
- Participate in breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, focused improvement, and 5s projects.
- Ensure workers adhere to local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
- Minimum 7 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
- Minimum 3 years of Plant Manufacturing Experience.
- Ability to work independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and Decision-Making skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
- Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work, and Working at Heights Policies.
- OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
- Experience with MiG and stick welding.
- Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks, jobs, and repairs.
- Ability to work extended hours to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet, use man lifts and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors, rotating shifts, and lifting 50 pounds required.
- Medical - Employee premiums are paid to a total of $500 per month. (this covers employees only and some children/spouses if that coverage is chosen).
